Founder & Lead Educator
I founded TaleemNest Academy with a simple mission: to make Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic education accessible, engaging, and effective for students of all ages.
With a Master’s degree in Linguistics, professional certifications in teaching Arabic and English as second languages, and more than a decade of teaching experience, I bring both academic expertise and practical classroom experience to every lesson.
My experience includes teaching at King Abdullah Academy, college settings, private tutoring programs, and community education environments. I believe in building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and helping every learner progress at their own pace.
Early Childhood & Islamic Studies Educator
Nora has 8 years of experience teaching early childhood education, Islamic studies, and summer camps. She uses storytelling, crafts, hands-on activities, songs, movement, and play-based learning to create engaging lessons.
She teaches Qur’an, Arabic, Islamic history, and character development while helping children build confidence, kindness, and a strong Islamic identity.
Nora holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development Education and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at George Mason University.
We focus on Arabic letters, pronunciation, reading, and Qur’an skills alongside listening, speaking, and writing.
Learning is active, not just reading from books: we use educational games, movement, storytelling, role-play, mystery boxes, creative projects, and interactive challenges in person and online.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s level, pace, personality, and goals.
Clear explanations, supportive instruction, and years of classroom experience help students learn with confidence.
Open communication and progress updates help families stay involved in their child's learning journey.
Beyond memorization, we aim to nurture love, respect, and a lasting connection with the Qur’an.
“My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.”
Thoughtful recommendations from parents, school leaders, and educators in our learning community.
Ms. Mouna has been tutoring my daughter, Sabrina, this past year, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress she has made. She was also Sabrina’s Arabic teacher at King Abdullah Academy, so we were excited to work with her again.
When Sabrina first started tutoring with Ms. Mouna, she lacked confidence in her Arabic skills. Thanks to Ms. Mouna’s patience, encouragement, and dedication, Sabrina has gained so much confidence, learned a great deal, and genuinely enjoys learning Arabic. She actually looks forward to every tutoring session, which says a lot about the positive learning environment Ms. Mouna creates.
Ms. Mouna goes above and beyond to make sure Sabrina understands the material and learns what she needs to succeed. She is knowledgeable, caring, and truly invested in her students’ growth. I highly recommend her to any family looking for an exceptional Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher and tutor.
I cannot recommend Ms. Mounna enough. She is an incredible Arabic and Islamic teacher and has been such a blessing for my kids.
Before her class, my children struggled with reading the Quran and didn’t really understand what they were reciting. Alhamdulillah, she changed that completely. She is so patient, warm, and amazing with kids. She makes the lessons engaging with stories, activities, and lots of encouragement so the kids actually look forward to learning.
More importantly, she didn’t just teach them how to read Arabic. She helped them understand the meaning of the Quran and fall in love with Islam. She taught my children how to read Quran with proper tajweed and also helped them understand the meanings and stories behind it. My kids now ask to listen to Quran at home and talk about what they learned. That is the biggest gift.
Her adab, knowledge, and sincerity shine through every class. May Allah bless her and put barakah in her work. If you’re looking for a teacher who will teach your children Quran with love and understanding, this is her.
She made Islam feel warm and joyful for my kids, not just another subject to study. May Allah reward her immensely. Highly, highly recommend her to any parent!
Ms. Mounna has been teaching my son Arabic since he was 3 years old. She has a talent for keeping him engaged and he loves his class with her. I give her my highest recommendation!
Teacher Mona taught my son when he was in public school. She used to come give him private lessons in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
She is one of the most wonderful teachers; my son really enjoyed her classes, and her teaching method was super fun and game-based.
I highly recommend anyone who wants their child to learn Arabic—Teacher Mona is the one!
